Re-Fresh Freeport

The 1st Saturday of each month, residents who live within the city limits of Freeport will be able to bring trash and bulk items to the Freeport Transfer Station located at 2133 S. Walnut Road from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.

ID’s will be required for verification of residency. Accepted items do NOT include yard waste of any kind, tires, hazardous waste such as paint and oils, TVs, computers, or other electronics.

City officials are urging residents to take advantage of these FREE events in order to eliminate illegal dumping within the City. Events for the collection of the disallowed items will be organized later in the year. The City thanks the partnership of Gill’s Freeport Disposal for this landmark initiative.

Gill’s Freeport Disposal asks all residents to put tarps over the loads they transport to the Transfer Station for litter control purposes. Those loads that are not covered with tarps may not be accepted.
