Downtown Municipal Lot CLOSED Until June
FREEPORT, IL – Starting Monday, March 30, the City-owned Downtown Municipal Lot will be closed for construction until late June. Parking within the the lot will be prohibited during this construction. Drivers are advised to find an alternative parking lot or area during this construction.
Other available lots include the City lots on Exchange and Stephenson, State and Main, and Douglas and Galena.
The City recognizes that this is an inconvenience to many. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to greatly improve a heavily-utilized amenity in our community.
*Crews are prepared to allow use of the new EV chargers in this lot during the construction. However, drivers can also utilize the EV chargers on State and Main.*
