Safety Action Plan Draft for Review
FREEPORT, IL – The City of Freeport is seeking public input on the Draft Freeport Safety Action Plan, a community-driven effort to improve safety for people walking, biking, driving, and using mobility devices throughout the city.
Residents are invited to attend a public webinar on November 19, 2025, to learn about the plan’s findings, recommendations, and next steps. Following the webinar, a two-week public comment period will be open from November 12–26, 2025, allowing community members to review the draft plan and share their feedback online. The plan outlines strategies to address transportation safety challenges and guide future infrastructure investments across Freeport. Community input will help refine the plan before it is presented to the City Council for adoption.
