City-Wide Storm Debris Clean Up Now Complete
FREEPORT, IL — Public Works crews have now completed their efforts in picking up storm debris from the curbline after the May 21 storm.
Residents that still have materials on the property or curbline are now responsible for the disposal of said materials. Leftover materials did not meet the criteria for “storm debris” and would therefore result in code violations if not handled in a timely manner. Other leftover materials were potentially put out on the curb after crews already came to their area.
The City of Freeport shows its appreciation to those crews who have spent the last two and half weeks working to get our City back to safety. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Public Works Department at 815.235.8210.
