Now Accepting Voluntary Interest Forms for Flood Mitigation Grant

The City of Freeport is applying for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Mitigation Assistance grants for acquisition and demolition of floodway properties. If awarded, residents in the floodway would have the opportunity to receive financial assistance to relocate out of the floodway. We’re currently accepting Notice of Voluntary Interest forms from eligible property owners who are interested in participating in a flood mitigation acquisition and demolition grant.
