This post is to make citizens aware of ComEd’s Helping Hands program that recently launched. This program aims to offer additional assistance for our most in-need citizens who have been impacted by the COVID pandemic. The program is designed to allow ComEd customers to expeditiously access financial assistance, by way of self-identifying and providing income and hardship documentation directly to ComEd. A one-time grant amount of up to $300 is available.
- Household gross income up to 250% of the federal poverty level (FPL) for the 30 days prior to application. AND
- Customers must express one of the following hardships, included but not limited to:
- Unexpected loss of income or reduction in income (including job loss or furlough)
- Sudden illness to you or a family member
- Other stated COVID-19 impact
