Public Invited to Share Input on Next City Budget
Freeport residents and invested community members are invited to share their input on the next City budget as City of Freeport staff prepare the City’s budget for fiscal year (FY) 2025.
The public is invited to attend a public input meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 314 W. Stephenson Street. City Manager Rob Boyer and Finance Department staff will provide general information on the budget process before meeting attendees will be able to share their thoughts on what they would like to see funded in their neighborhoods and the community at-large.
The City’s 2025 budget timeline extends from September to November with the final document to be approved in December 2024. The public will have another opportunity to offer input during an October 28 meeting of the same nature.
